How We Started

The group was founded as a result of a chance meeting of Liz and Angela who were both diagnosed within 6 months of each other. Liz mentioned to Angela that she was surprised to find that there was no local support group at a time she really needed it. It went from there!
After a good deal of research our first meeting took place on 14th January 2003 at The Ark and 19 ladies attended.
Monthly meetings have taken place ever since.
These are informal in relaxing surroundings over a cup of tea or coffee. We have had visiting speakers on things such as nutrition, make-up, products and clothing by Amoena (specialists in bras and swimwear)

Our Achievements:
Took part as a group in the 2003 Race For Life raising funds for Cancer Research.
Our own fashion show held at Audleys Wood in October 2003. All the models were members of the group who had suffered from breast cancer. Our celebration Ball on June 26th 2004.
