Mr,Payne: Perhaps the Biddlecombes of Eling may be your Biddlecombes, Following is a brief history. Martha B (born 1818) married Thomas Tate, She was born in Eling. Her father was Steven B (born 1791) married to "Turtle" Hatch. His father was John B (born 1759 Eling) and also married a Hatch,Hannah
John's father I believe to be Edward B born 1734 and married Mary Plaskett in 1759. Mary dies after baring Edward 6 children. He then marries Elizabeth Scorey from whom he has another 6. Hope this ties in!
