Central Baptist Church

The Polygon area of Southampton is home to more than one group of Saints! As well as housing the famous football club of that name, there are the “saints” who meet in Central Baptist Church, Devonshire Road. Not that either group of Saints claims perfection. Far from it! As far as we here at Devonshire Road are concerned, we simply consider ourselves to be forgiven sinners, and God has still a lot of work to do in us to makeus what he wants us to be. But in the meantime, life is great because Jesus Christ, is the only one who makes sense in a confused world.

We’d like you to join us! You don’t have to be perfect - just as we’re not. You don’t have to be a “saint” at all, in fact we have activities, such as our Alpha courses, which are especially designed for people who don’t have any beliefs, or who have quite different beliefs from us, where, without any pressure a person can find out what the Christian faith is, ask any questions, and make any comment.
