Davy Family Legends
I'm sorry to put a damperner on this topic but just about everyone with the name Davy or Davey seems to be told at sometime that they are related to Humphry Davy, sadly in the majority of cases this claim is nothing more than a family legend.

Davy is a popular name in Cornwall,if you really think you are related by his paternal line, you would need to trace your Davy line back to the Ludgvan & or Madron in the Penzance area of Cornwall, which is in West Penwith & from their link your line with Humphry's parents,or to Humpreys only brother's, son Archibald.

Humphry Davy, was born in Madron, Cornwall 1778 - 1829 & had no children, he had one brother john, 1790 - 1867 who had a son Archibold. Their parents were Robert Davy c.1749 & Grace Millett c.1750. m. Madron. Robert's parents were, Edmund Davy & Grace Adams m.1744 Madron & Edmunds parents were Robert Davy & Joan Marrack m.1708 in Ludgvan.

Good luck.
