Re: George Vinicombe Danvers-Davy
Hi
I am seeking info on whether our family may be related to H. My mother was born in Calcutta, 1933, to Vera & "George Vinicombe Danvers-Davy" (I believe George, aka Jimmy, had a brother Edward). George was born 1910 (place unknown) and died in 2001 (presumably UK). My mother Wendy vaguely remembers a story relating to the Davy lamp. She never really knew George (as he sort of took off!) and we've only found scant information on the net re his death after the event. Links from there to Danvers-Davy family are unusable. I will be seeing my mother in Sydney shortly (she will travel from USA) to celebrate a family 21st. It would be nice if I could provide any news of George (if he was indeed related to H), and the possibility she has unknown family in the UK. Thanks in advance for all assistance.
