Four Marks Folk Music Workshops We meet on the first and third Mondays each month in the Village Hall in Four Marks. The village lies on the A31 about 14 miles from Winchester and 4 miles from Alton. It is an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy playing Folk Music. The Workshops are lead by Lawrence Storey who coaches and directs proceedings. The music played is mostly that appropriate for folk or social dancing and all the music required is provided for the members.
On occasion the Workshop Band plays music for dances in the area to raise funds for charitable causes.
Instruments include fiddles, mandolins, banjos, recorders, flutes, accordions, concertinas, keyboards, guitars, percussion etc. If it can be scraped, plucked, struck, squeezed or blown it can form a part of the band.
