LANCASTER FAMILY LIVING IN LITCHFIELD AND SURROUNDING VILLAGES

I am trying to trace family connections in the Litchfield and surrounding areas from the late 18th century. I know that members of the family lived in Egbury, Whitchurch, St Mary Bourne and Burghclere.

Female members of the family married into the Eastman, Talbot, Talmarge, Lambdin (den) and Rumbold families in the 19th century.
Most were agricultural workers.

My grandfather William Lancaster, aged 4, was recorded on the 1871 census as living with his grandfather John and grandmother Eliza in Village Road, Litchfield. In 1881, aged 14, he was listed as living with his grandfather at the same address. In 1881 John Lancaster was 72.
