West End Local History Society
 | The Society has an heritage centre at the Old Fire Station in West End Village [open Saturdays 10 to 4] and a series of local history lectures are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month in the Parish Centre in Chapel Road [near to Netto In Excess car park] starting at 7-30 pm [teas / coffees after the talk]. Good access for disabled persons.

City of Southampton Society
 CoSS meets in the Edmund Kell Hall in Bellevue Road off London Road Southampton monthly except that there are no meetings in July, August or December. The meetings start at 7 pm.
The Society welcomes as members everyone over the age of 16 interested in the heritage, the buildings and layout of the city.
The Society takes a watching brief on planning applications in conservation areas, listed buildings, open spaces and major developments.
The Society publishes a bi-annual Review.

Southampton Local History Forum
 Sponsored by Southampton City Council Library Service the Forum meets monthly in the lecture theatre in the Northguild, Commercial Road, Southampton. Using the library/ art gallery entrance the theatre entrance is by the art gallery shop kiosk. The meetings start at 7pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month.Entry is free.

Friends of RSH Hospital Chapel
 The Chapel at the RSH Hospital was built in 1858 and is a grade 2 listed building. It has been closed for about 12 years and is in need of repair.
