George Slingo 1826 -

Greengrocers at Walter St. Crookham. George Slingo (1826-) Marries Elizabeth Gunner ( 1829-1913) on the 27 September 1851 at Crondall, Hampshire. the daughter of James and Sarah Gunner, (The Gunners a large local family). and 1871 finds them living in The Round house Crookham, 1881 they are in Church Crookham where they run a GreenGrocers till Elizabeth's death, both are buried in Christ Church Crookham. they had two Children. Lydia Slingo (1852- unknown George Slingo (1851-1909) George a Soldier married Harriet Jane Yewer (1853-1893) in 1868, and ran a Greengrocers shop in Crookham untill his death. After the death of Jane he remarried to Margaret Weston (1858- ) in 1899. George and Jane had 14 children : Lydia Slingo (1875-) who married Thomas Henry Keynes (1871- ) on the 14 May 1894. Her Children were John Frederick Slingo (1890-1966), Elizabeth Keynes (1895-), George Keynes (1900-) George Slingo (1877-) born in Stains Middlesex, died in his 20s. Emma Slingo (1878-) Paul Slingo (1880-1962) married Mabel Emma King (1889-1995) on August 21, 1901 in Mynyddislwyn, Newport, Monmothshire. like his father a Solder, served in India, South Africa, first W.W. twice first the Royal Sussex injured and demobed and then reinlisted Royal Engneers. also in mine disposial in the second W.W. re picture on the hampshire Slingo's page.
