We only had 8 signings. Sorry to those that have signed up as I have had to take the decision to pull Spartan Colts U16 out of the league to stop incurring the fines we were liable for for cancelling games. I am bitterly disappointed to have had to do this because the 8 players that showed their loyalty deserve so much better. All signed on players are free to sign for other teams immediately, and I will return the registration fee when I receive them from the treasurer.

If we signed players on now, they would not be eligible to play until into October so we would have to cancel more games. The decision was also taken not to sign 'substandard' players to the team as that would be wholly unfair to the abilities of the 8.

Thank you all for the support to the team over the years oin whatever form it has taken. It is a great shame it had to end like this.The players are, of course, still very welcome at the Fleetland training on Thursday evenings (7-8) at HMS Sultan Astro. Training with Fleetlands will pave the way for next years soccer if you want to play.

Once again, I am sorry for this. I am gutted too.
