Annual Basingstoke & Deane Sports Awards

These annual prestigious awards are co-ordinated by the Local Sports Council to recognise and celebrate the achievements of clubs, coaches, officials and individuals in the local sporting community. Categories are Senior & Junior Sportsmen & Women, Club & Coach of the Year, Service to Sport, Senior & Junior Volunteer, Veteran Male & Female, Senior & Junior Team plus Sports Official. Selected finalists are invited to the prestigious awards evening on February 29th 2008 hosted by the Apollo Hotel. Winners of the Basingstoke & Deane Awards are submitted for consideration to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Awards. 18/02/2008 County Award winners in 2004 below were Chris Berry (Athletics) Official of the Year, Pete Bedford (Senior Male - Powerlifting) and Jenny Earle (Senior Women - Judo & Athletics)
