Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in partnership with the Local Sports Council provide a grant scheme to assist sports men and women in their efforts to achieve full National, International and Olympic honours. Grants are available to provided assistance with travelling and coaching expenses, qualifications, and equipment and clothing requirements.
Applications are welcome annually between 1st September and 30th November annually with applicants being at least County Standard or equivalent within their sport and priority will be given to talented Under 25’s. Applications should be fully supported by the coach and club of the applicant and also include any other additional information that would support the grant application e.g. Press Releases.
Grant Aid Application forms are available on request from the Borough Council (01256 845442) Forms should then be sent by post or emailed to the Local Sports Council (Basingstokelsc1@aol.com), Sue Hillyard, 3 Dragonfly Drive, Lychpit, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 8RU (01256 811478) by December 1st.
Applicants for Grant Aid are automatically considered for the Basingstoke & Deane Annual Sports Awards and for scholarship support from the Basingstoke Sports Trust.
