INTRODUCTION TO NEW MEMBERS:

The Treasure gymnastics team are pleased to welcome you and your child as new members of our club.
 
The aims of the club are laid out in our mission statement and include providing a safe, effective and child friendly atmosphere in which members participate in gymnastic activities under the guidance of suitably qualified coaches.
 
 We operate an open philosophy and welcome the support of parents and guardians.  Although parents are not encouraged to be in the gym during training we operate occasional open sessions and if you have a concern your are welcome to observe a session.  (Please ask the coach in charge at the start of the session).
 
The members of the club are organised in to groups according to their age, ability, experience and individual needs.  Coaches are happy to discuss training programmes with parents (Please speak to the coach in charge of your child’s session).
 
We provide a child / gymnast centred, coach led programme and aim to help every child to reach their optimum level of performance.
 
Our coaches are all qualified through British Gymnastics to an appropriate level and have been screened for their suitability for working with children.
 
The club has a welfare officer has been appointed to deal with any safety issues.
 
Arrangements should be made for a responsible adult to escort your child to and from training (To the gym not just the facility).  We would appreciate your child arriving and being collected promptly.
 
Training times vary (please see the training times page in the booklet).  If you have difficulties with training times please speak to the coach in charge of your child’s session.
 
All children must be appropriately dressed for classes (please see the club kit page).  Sensitive discretion within the bounds of safety will be shown in particular circumstances.
 
The club has adopted British Gymnastics Child protection policy (Found in member’s handbook) and codes of conduct for coaches, gymnasts, parents and volunteers. 
 
The annual club registration fee includes membership to British Gymnastics which includes appropriate insurance for your child and the club.
 
We would be grateful if you could complete the attached club registration form and health / contact forms attached and return it with fees to the coach in charge of your gymnast’s session.
