About WDCCA

The Association was founded in 1947 to provide cricket for local clubs.

There are 44 clubs in membership and we now include the North West Area (Andover and beyond)as part of the restructuring of the sport under the ECB and the Hampshire Cricket Board.

We provide evening competitions - league and knock-out, Junior competitions and coaching, and a popular indoor league during the winter. Junior covers all ages from Under 9 to Under 15.

Senior clubs include Winchester KS (past winners of the Southern League and former national champions of the ECB Indoor Cricket championship) and Hursley Park (past winners of the Southern League and former winners of the National Village Cricket competition). These two and Easton & Martyr Worthy, Sparsholt, St Cross Symondians and Flamingo all have teams in the Southern Electric Premier League, as do Andover, South Wilts and Trojans who play in the Junior competitions. Easton & Martyr Worthy reached the quarter finals of the National Village Trophy in 2001 and Hursley Park, Sparsholt and Longparish have a distinguished history in that competition.
