Worthys Local History Group

The Worthys Local History Group publish a regular journal ‘Worthy History’ containing articles written by members of the group or by invitation covering many aspects of the history of the Worthys, There is also the occasional series of publications detailing Interments, Memorials and other local records, under the title ‘Worthy Records’.

In 1999, with support from Hampshire County Council we published A History of the Worthy Villages, edited by Peter Finn and Pamela Johnston. This brings together 20 articles covering many historical topics on the history of the Worthy Villages from its Anglo-Saxon origins to the recent past. Now out of print this very popular publication is available in PDF format on CD.

From time to time collections of images and selected documents from our records, covering particular themes, will be made available in CD versions.
On the following pages you will find a list of publications and their availability, including whether these are available in a CD version.

If you are interested in receiving copies please contact us by email, with your list of requirements and we will send you a list of current availability, if this has changed, costs and ordering details. Copies of all publications may of course be ordered or obtained directly at our meetings.
