DAN'S "CHAMBER OF SECRETS" INTERVIEW

Q What was it like filming the second time around? It was brilliant because we started about three days after the first film had been released, so we were still in our characters - it was really easy to get under their skin again. Q Is book two still your favourite? No, I love the second book but it's now my second favourite because I've just read the third and that's my favourite - which is handy! Q What was your favourite scene to do? I love the scene with the duelling with lots of crowds, then you've got a fantastic confrontation between Alan Rickman and Kenneth Branagh. And in both the car scene and the duelling scenes there's a lot of stunts going on and I really enjoyed doing that. Q What do you do in your spare time - do you still have a good life as a normal kid? Yeah. I think one of my favourite things to do is just lock myself up in a small room and listen to music and watch films for a day. Also I just like seeing my friends. We have pizza parties which means I get four friends round, we eat a pizza and we're really lazy and we play PlayStation. Q Do you do look at the internet and see all the stuff on there? I don't. I have never seen an article or read a review or anything because it can affect your performance. Q How different was this film? Oh, it's a darker story and it was fun because you see a much darker side to Harry's character. So it was really fun trying to bring that to the screen. There was loads more action in this film and I think it's just a lot darker story and that was just fun to do, all stuff with the spiders and everything. Q Was it really creepy? It was really creepy actually because Aragog was really there. Aragog weighed 4.5 tonnes. But I think it was worse for Rupert than it was for me cos Rupert is actually scared of spiders. I'm not sure how he coped with it but he did really well. He didn't have to act much in that scene, luckily for him! Q After the third film will you be doing any future films? I'm definitely doing the third and after that I have no idea what's going to happen. So you might or might not do the fourth film, depending on how you feel? Yeah, basically. Q Are you excited about who's going to play Cho Chang, the girl you get a bit of a crush on? Um... kind of excited, yeah. Q Will you get to help decide? No. Q What was it like working with the new kids in this movie - the people playing Colin Creevey and Justin Finch-Fletchley? It was great. Especially Hugh Mitchell, who plays Colin Creevey. At first he's really shy but then you get to know him and he's completely mad, he's really cool, I really like him.
