OIL THEFTS

Over recent weeks there has been an increase in the number of thefts of heating oil being reported which has been driven by high fuel costs and poor security.

There are simple crime prevention measures that you can take to protect your tank including fitting a padlock on the taps or locks. Alarms and CCTV are a good deterrent, especially if you have business premises. Consider appropriate good outside lighting – it can put off or draw attention to a thief.
