For some 16 years the H&G CT has been restoring sections of the canal that, until 1881, linked Hereford with Gloucester. early work was in Herefordshire at Monkhide and Yarkhill; more recently it has been at Oxenhall in Gloucestershire; most recently of all, phase 1 of the Over basin project, just west of Gloucester, was completed on time.
