NWR : 40 years young

The National Women's Register was started in 1960 as the National Women's Register from the idea of one woman, Maureen Nicol OBE. many women were looking after children at home, some had moved house. Some were determined to make time for conversation that was not child or family centred and they decided to meet in an informal way.
