First Home League Match

Kington Juniors, playing their first home match since the reopening of the course, had a convincing 5-1 win against The Herefordshire Club at the weekend. Sporting their new shirts sponsored by Tarmac they had a photo session and then got down to work. Kington winners were Dan Aldridge 6/4, Andrew Lloyd 3/2, Matthew Davies 3/2, Ben Hughes 2/1 and Peter Handley 1 up. This was Kington's third straight league win. Four of Kington's Junior Juniors, namely Nick Crum, Nick Evans, Robbie Metcalfe and Owen Morgan, had their first experience of match play and acquitted themselves very well although going down 3/1. Robbie secured an excellent win. The evening was perfect for golf and the greens superb.
