Meetings and Events 2008

A very enjoyable time was spent in CHIPPENHAM on February 20th 2008.
The walk to see places associated with Kilvert, was led by member Re.John Day.

Friday April 25th 2008. The AGM. 7pm, at the Bishop's Palace Hereford.
After the AGM and refreshments, a very interesting talk was given by John Towman - Kilvert, Mesmerism and the Victorians. Saturday April 26th 2008 Dinner at theRadnorshire Arms, Presteigne.l


Jubilee Weekend.
Friday June 27th 2008. Dinner at the Three Counties Hotel, Hereford. After dinner, there was a witty and thought provoking talk by the Dean of Hereford, followed by choral entertainment from Dolau Mixtures.

Saturday June 28th 2008. A walk round Kinnersley was followed by tea at Kinnersley Old Rectory.A delightful opportunity to see a place that Kilvert visited. Crocket was played after tea.

Sunday June 29th 2008. Evensong at St.James Church, Kinnersley. Tea was again taken at Kinnersley Old Rectory.

** Thursday 11 July 1878... At 3.30 walked to a garden party at Kinnersley Rectory. There was Aunt Sally and Badminton and lawn tennis and tea, coffee and fruit in the dining room.Left at 7.45.
