Round One
 | The first round took place at Kington GC on Saturday 24th July. Originally Monmouth were scheduled to participate but unfortunately couldn't field a team.
Instead we had a composite team from various Montgomeryshire clubs.
From Kington's point of view the results were a tremendous shock. Not only did Kington not win the round (which it has always done at Kington) but it didn't produce the winner of the Medal (which it has done from time immemorial) or Stableford competition.
Individual winners can be found on the Junior Open page. However the final team scores taking the best 6 scores from 8 were:
Burghill 239
Kington 227
Montgomery 218
Aberystwyth 194
Kington Scores with only the top 6 to count:
Ben Redfern 41 (2nd overall)
Jack Cooper 40
Alex Metcalfe 39
Chris Croose 39
Ryan West 35
Ryan Hotchkiss 33
...
Charlie S White 32
Jordan Preece 31
Will Cooper 30

Round Two
 | Round two took place at Aberystwyth GC and the results were very different from those of the first round. Hardly surprising when one realizes how very different the two courses are.
No sheep, no wind, no rain, no gorse and virtually no bracken but plenty of sand traps.
In spite of that Kington did very well with the results as follows:
Kington 216
Aberystwyth 216
Montgomery 200
Burghill 188
Individual Kington Scores with 6 to count from 8:
Will Cooper 39
Billy Goodman 38
Ryan West 36
Ben Redfern 35
Chris Croose 35
Ryan Hotchkiss 33
...
Charlie S White 32
Jack Cooper 26 |
