A Comfortable Win for Builth
 | On Sunday 21st April, on a glorious summer’s day Builth Wells welcomed Kington. The matches went off three tees and in handicap order, so Messrs Weaver & Jones led off for the visitors. The final result was a victory for Builth by 7 ˝ to 4 ˝. |

 | | The highlight of the day was a fine hole in one on the 17th by Ken Hill (Ken generously saw to it that everyone on the premises had a scotch on him – he was drenched). Allan Black, on the same hole only missed making it another by about 2”. |

Waitresses & The Reverend James
 | The meal was fine and the service good. In fact the youngest member of the Kington side was overheard talking about importing a couple of the waitresses to Kington. The Reverend James was on the bar and was absolutely superb. One Kington member managed four pints before the Rev. ran out. Trevor Price, who is also a member of Kington, was acting captain of Builth for the day.
Victor Baggott, Kington captain, played with himself and won comfortably.

The Hippies of Kington
 | Kington fielded four hip replacements stars. In other words approximately 20% of the team had artificial hips.
