Cailidh Band started by Sheila.

Many years ago Sheila started a Ceilidh band. Originaly she was one of the musicians but gradually went on to do the calling. You may not have heard much about this as the band almost entirely concentrates on weddings and private parties. The band is now managed form Malvern by an agency who have other forms of entertainers such as pipers and jaz specialists. Presenting musicians, who can play for you at your wedding or other event. Midsummer Music began with the Ringerike Folk Band and the Midsummer String Quartet, who play in many of the most prestigious venues in Worcestershire and the surrounding counties. Other colleagues from around the UK joined us to offer high quality music and experience. For Weddings, a ceilidh or barn dance is becoming a popular and more sociable alternative to the disco. All ages can join in and it ensures that both sides of the family and friends get to know each other! We often provide a String Quartet or other classical music for the Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast and then a Ceilidh band for the evening celebration. For those who want to set an Irish, Scottish or Folk theme to their wedding, we can provide folk music as background, to listen to. Of course, we play for all the usual folk events, as well. Folk clubs, folk dance clubs, Burns Nights, Irish Nights, parties and fund raising functions and more.
