What do we do/discuss?

Although we have an agenda, meetings are very relaxed and informal. Members are very friendly to newcomers and keen to involve new people. Discuss services in Herefordshire We want to hear your views on services in Herefordshire! The Group has a Facilitator who arranges the agenda but Members are encouraged each meeting to suggest topics, speakers, training, etc... Network with other Organisations, Agencies etc... in Herefordshire. Many of our members are on either in receipt of a Direct Payment from Social Services or in receipt of money via the Independant Living Fund so often there are discussion about employing Personal Assistants. We often invite speakers to the Group to discuss a particular topic. Independant Living for ALL disabled people is important to us and this can be anything from managing gardening, social activities, personal care, travel, health etc... Meetings are for 2 hours only and we serve a light lunch afterwards. This gives us time to to discuss any personal issues with someone that may have some experience first hand. It also allows everyone to socialise, although not everyone stays for lunch.
