Welcome to BNI Connexions - Radlett chapter of the BNI by Clifford White, founder member and webmaster.
BNI Connexions is a business club based in Radlett, Herts, one chapter in an ever growing business network originally conceived of in the US. BNI have numerous chapters all over the world, and in recent years the UK has become of their greatest growth areas - not surprisingly considering the lack of business clubs and support groups that have existed in the UK until now.
Our particular chapter is BNI Connexions (Radlett). Every week our members meet to exchange contacts, advice, information and most importantly business referrals. We are all as members encouraged to bring at least 1 referral per week (although many of us bring 4 or more!) for our fellow members. In this fashion, business is generated for all of our members, most of whom have seen a significant rise in their annual turnover as a result of being a member of our BNI chapter.
Not only is BNI a great way of getting new business, it is also great fun. Apart from a superb breakfast, good humour and an exiting, light-hearted atmosphere, many members team up with others for the various business projects, networking and training programmes that BNI offers. We are encouraged to develop our business skills and talents, and are given regular opportunities to practice our 'business pitch' during our weekly '60 second slots', where we can each promote our businesses and its services.
BNI is well worth joining if you are self employed, run your own business, or work from home. It is also great if you want to generate more business contacts, or to find skilled tradesmen that you can trust. It costs a fraction of what you might spend on advertising, yet for the majority of our members easily generates a more than equivalent return.
BNI is NOT a multi-level marketing scam, nor is it overtly restrictive or regimented. True, it does have a set structure, and it does involve a certain level of commitment, but no more than what is required, and certainly no more than you should be applying to your business!
No one was more skeptical than I when I first joined. My opinion now? If you want to grow your business, don't waste any more time making your mind up, get on with it!
