WHO ARE WE?

I Can't Believe We're Not Better Theatre Company is a unique group of talented and driven individuals originally created as a forum to challenge perceived views of mental illness and educate the general public. Since then, our focus has broadened and we are dedicated to bringing the performing arts into people lives in meaningful ways.

We write and develop our own plays and workshops, and believe the rare pleasure of a live performance, particularly in this age of TV and computer games, should be brought to everyone. We welcome enquiries and are available for commission to perform, write or teach.

As well as performing for the general public, our services have been used by schools and universities, nursing homes and hospitals, the local council and private businesses. We are a registered charity (charity no. 1100431).

THEATRE COMPANY VACANCIES


We require volunteers with a wide variety of skills, not just actors. This includes drivers, secretaries, writers, musicians, financial advisers, help with costumes, props and make-up, help publishing our quarterly newsletter, in fact, ANY skills you have will be useful to us.


Don’t think for one second that you have to be highly skilled or qualified – you don’t even need experience in any of the above fields - all we ask for is ENTHUSIASM and a willingness to LEARN!


We especially welcome anyone who has experienced mental health problems, either first hand or in their family, as well as people working in this area.
