Where, what, and who are we??

The Curtis Conservation Group started life when a group of local Mill End residents came together to preserve the wildlife in an abandoned allotment at the corner of Springwell Avenue and Fotherley Road which was due to be built on.
Since then, with the help of over 100 volunteers, many of whom are local residents, the area has been cleared and continues to develop into a peaceful sanctuary for both animals and humans!!
The area teems with both flora and fauna, examples being, snowdrops, daffodils, bluebells, several varieties of rodents, frogs, slow worms, and numerous varieties of birds who relish the seeds and berries from the local shrubs and trees. It seems the variety of both increases with every season.

How can you help us?
So far we have over 100 local residents who have kindly volunteered their time to help us. If you feel you can help us in any way you can either use the link provided or you can call 01923 776850 or 01923 720976 for more details.

In spite of recent and recurring vandalism, the area continues to thrive, and it is hoped that the area can only continue to go from srength to strength.
It would be helpful if you see anything suspicious that you contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on 01923 720071.

Lets keep this area special!!
