UP-DATES FOR 2005
Since I last posted on this page it has now become out of date:
During the Year 2004, I have been lucky enough to be promoted to 4th Dan (YON DAN) I also had the pleasure of teaching at South Shield Leisure Centre CUA Course with John Harding 5th Dan and Jon Stokoe 5th Dan. Although, I did not feel as I did as well when I first visited Newcastle, it was a very successful course and we all learnt a lot from it.
I have now completely shelved the RAF Marham project through lack of interest.
We now have a brand new dojo at Blyth Jex School community Sports Centre. This is a very much better environment to train with a lot more room and facilities.
March 2005, I was inorgorated in to the Guild of Renmei Yudansha. A very great priverlege and honour.
From January,2006, we will officially be part of the CUA Aikido Union. we are looking forward very much as a dojo and hope that we can maintain the quality and foundations that are laid down by the founder of Aikido and work in the way of Aiki.
We are also during 2006, takeing seminars at the Honbu Ishin Ryu Dojo at Caston Wotton, and, I feel that this will be a benifit for all of us with our differing martial arts styles.
The Ishin Ryu international Seminars over the last few years have been very successful and I personally have learnt a vast amount about other martial arts and teaching methods.
Our Dojo at the time of writing, is very small, but I hope in time it will grow. It is better to grow slowly and surely than grow to fast and too large and fall a way quickly because, the Dojo is too large to handle. |
