Writers and Thinkers Discussion Group (Arnside)

This group, led by Professor Terry Keefe, has been running for some time, but welcomes newcomers at any stage - the only 'qualification' required is enthusiasm! Nominal charge includes tea or coffee.

Meetings are held in the Westmorland Room of the Arnside Educational Institute (Church Hill) on the 3rd and 4th Mondays of the month between 7.30 pm and 9 pm.

Topics for discussion in 2005 are:
(17 & 24 January) the 'Consequentialim' and 'Contract Ethics' sections of Peter Singer's Ethics (OUP, 1994);
(21 & 28 February) Moliere's The Misanthrope in English translation (Penguin, etc);
(18 & 25 April) Marcel Proust's Swann's Way, any English translation.
