ABOUT BATS
 | Burneside Amateur Theatrical Society (or BATS) performed its first pantomime in the Bryce Institute at Burneside in January 1975. Since then, there has been an uninterrupted run of 32 productions, playing to packed houses.
In recent years, the Society has branched out into plays and musical evenings with some success.
Our membership consists of the young and not-so-young! We are always keen to encourage and recruit new members. Annual membership for adults is £12 and for juniors (under 16) is £5.00. This is payable at our Annual General Meeting, which is usually held in May.
Over the years the Society has had a policy of ploughing any profits from productions into providing new facilities, such as lighting and sound equipment. These facilities are not only available to BATS, but to other users of the Bryce Institute.
BATS works closely with the Management Committee of the Bryce Institute to ensure that the Institute, BURNESIDE'S VILLAGE HALL, provides marketable facilities to encourage a wide range of users to use this vital village facility.
If you want to know more, contact BATS. Visit the contact page for how to do this or email via this website.
