The Growth Of A Thriving Sports Facility

Burton Recreation Trust was set up almost 9 yeards ago to develop a much needed sports facility for the local community.
In 1997 the site was opened, thanks to local support and the Sports Council Awards. We have one of the best bowling clubs in the North West and a multi use games area which comprises of 2 special tarmac tennis courts, basket ball court, netball court and football. Both areas are floodlit, with showers and changing facilities available.
We have a very sociable tennis club for adults and juniors of all standards and regular football users. Our aim is to encourage the local community to use these facilities and our latest development is the setting up of basket ball and netball clubs.
