Cumbria Recorder Society
The Cumbria Recorder Society is a thriving and friendly group of recorder players with a membership of over 40. The meetings are held in the afternoon of the third Saturday of each month (except August & December) at a hall in the Kendal-Grange area. Our November meeting takes the form of a whole day of playing where you can choose from an interesting and varied program provided by local conductors. In June we invite a conductor of national standing from the Society of Recorder Players to conduct us for the day. These events attract visitors from other areas.
Our conductor is Bob Berry who is an experienced and enthusiastic recorder player himself and he is keen for us to develop our skills. We play a very wide range of music styles from the 16th century to the present.
