Dentdale is the Yorkshire Dales National Park’s secret dale, with a wealth of natural treasures and cultural attractions to satisfy visitors in mind, body and soul. Just 10.5 miles in length, the dale stretches from Sedbergh in the west, to Dent Head in the east. Its northern slopes are known obviously as the 'sunny side' and its southern slopes obscurely as the 'money side.'
The scenery is unique, created by the famous Dent Fault that has cleaved the dale in two, leaving a typical Lakeland landscape to the west and more rolling Dales-like countryside to the east. Centrepiece is the welcoming and charming village of Dent, with ancient cobbled streets and attractive stone cottages.
In Dentdale, you can get away from the workaday and enjoy a whole range of relaxing pleasures, amongst genuinely hospitable people - a refreshing walk, delicious home-made food and some fine local ales; with a local piece of craft to take home and remind you of your stay with us.
