Meeting Notes from 5th October
Present: Russ Caton; Jay Conder; Dorothy Buxton; Brenda & Terry McIntee; Mike & Marilyn Molloy. Apologies from several group members unable to attend, but who requested follow-up info.

The following points were discussed at the meeting:

- An update from the Steering Group meeting was given by Marilyn, indicating the level of support that they felt it would be necessary for them to give during the early stages of the schemes development. The co-ordinating organisations are listed in the draft ethos and structure document enclosed.

- It was agreed that block or "zone" co-ordinators needed to be identified before the launch date so that they could be invited to take part in that event at Stricklandgate House on 14th October. The attendees indicated the times for their availability on that day also. The actual launch by Marilyn as mayor will take place at 2pm when all the media are invited to attend.

- Tee shirts with the logo designed by Westmorland Gazette are ordered and will be available for all helpers to pick up the evening before from Marilyn.

- Each zone co-ordinator would be responsible for feeding back to the Greenside Group Co-ordinator, Marilyn Molloy (Russ Caton willing to provide this service if needed).

- A list of helpers and the services they are willing to offer will be circulated to the Greenside residents for return to Marilyn, so that each zone co-ordinator may know who is participating in their area.

- The group learned the precise arrangements for October 14th launch. A large-scale map of the Greenside area would be on display showing the coloured zones. A précis of the Ethos & Structure document will be available for members of the public to gain a basic understanding the scheme. Full copies of the Ethos & Structure document will also be available for neighbourhoods who may be considering joining the scheme, together with the helplist form. The FaNS logo and Communigate Website information will be projected onto the wall behind. Greenside group members at the event may be asked questions about the set-up of our scheme.

- An attached questionnaire of availability on 14th October should be returned to Marilyn ASAP so that she may arrange for tee shirts for participants and ensure there is cover throughout the time the stand will operate.

- Ring Marilyn on 720407 if you have any further questions or points you would like clarifying.

- Marilyn Molloy
