KENDAL SOUTH'S NEW SEASON

The 2008-2009 season is about to commence.
Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays at
in the Kirkland Hall.There are limited opportunities for new members for next season which starts on Sept 9th 2008 if you are interested please make contact by phoning Robert Parkins 01539 824227 or Margaret Saunders on 01524 811579 and your request will be passed on to the Musical Director.

The committee are pleased to announce that we have a new Director of Music to succeed Hugh Davies who has taken up an new appointment.

Our New D o M is MARK SWINTON

Mark has also just taken up the appointment as
D o M of Kendal Parish Church and comes to Kendal from Bath Abbey where he was assistant organist. Mark will bring new ideas and enthusiasm with him and we look forward to some exciting times.

The new regime has not yet formulated a programme for the full season ahead yet but we are continuing our planned Christmas Concert FANFARE FOR CHRISTMAS which features the SANCTA TRINITAS BRASS ENSEMBLE, professional players mainly from the NW of England to accompany Kendal South Choir in special arrangements of works related to Christmas and also carols, some of which will be congregational, IAN PATTINSON & ROBERT TALBOT will play the two Church Organs and the concert will of course be conducted by MARK SWINTON. The concert takes place in Kendal Parish Church on SAT 13th December 2008 at 7:30 pm
