Welcome to the Killington and District Sustainable Energy Trust

OUR AIMS: To raise awareness of the principles of sustainability. To develop exemplar community projects applicable to rural locations for producing energy from renewable sources and reducing energy consumption In February 2010 we organised a very successful, and well attended Open Evening at the 'Peoples' Hall Sedbergh. It featured thirty two different trade and community stands encouraging both domestic and commercial use of sustainable energy. In conjunction with South Lakeland District Council we have just instigated a grant aided pilot project for home insulation in the Killington District. This includes cavity wall and loft insulation for stone built houses.
