Networking group for local businesswomen

Lakeland Businesswomen's Network is a networking group for women in business in south Cumbria. Set up in January 2006, the group is run by the members for the members, who pay an annual subscription of only 25 pounds. We now have over 50 paid-up members and well over 90 interested parties on our regular emailing list.

We meet monthly, on the third Thursday of every month, alternating between morning and evening speaker and networking meetings, in a variety of venues across the area to make sure the widest pool of members can come along. At every meeting members get a chance to air success stories or business problems for the group to brainstorm about and generally come up with imaginative solutions. We also hold subsidised training days on business topics such as presentational skills, marketing and finance.
