LEVENS CHOIR CHORAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Levens Choir is committed to encouraging our local young people to discover and enjoy the joys of choral singing. To this end, we have raised funds to enable the offer of a number of CHORAL SCHOLARSHIPS each year to students under 21*.

Successful applicants would receive:-
Free membership of Levens Choir
Music supplied free of charge
Help with transport to choir practices if required
Individual singing tuition or help with the cost thereof
Provision of an accompanist for singing exams, or help with the cost thereof
Free participation at Choral Days and other Choral Workshops
*This age limit could be extended in line with individual circumstances such as extended degree courses etc.

It would be understood that scholars would attend Levens Choir rehearsals regularly and that attendance and progress would be reviewed at the end of each rehearsal session (i.e. Christmas and Summer).
Scholars would be encouraged to regard their status as beneficial to them when applying to colleges or filling in UCAS and other application forms or CV's.
