Cumbria Living History Group - invitations from you are welcome!
If you are planning a suitable late-Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian Occasion we would welcome an Invitation from you!
The Group is entirely amateur and, as such, charges no fees for attendances.
Establishments, Event Organisers and Businesses have rapidly discovered that just the presence of a few people in Period Dress add an immense amount of interest and atmosphere to an appropriate daytime or evening Occasion.
Over the past few months members of the Group have been in attendance at Occasions as diverse as Professor John Ruskin's Brantwood; William Wordsworth's Rydal Mount; Kirkby Lonsdale's Victorian Fair; Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway; U.S. President Woodrow Wilson Society's Centenary Event; Windermere's Steamboat Museum; Grange-over-Sands' Edwardian Festival; Barrow's Dock Museum; Whitehaven's Beacon Museum; various Primary Schools; Lake District National Park's Educational Centre; National Trust's Townend; Buittle Tower in Scotland; Cark's Steam Gathering; Schneider Day at Bowness; Kendal's Torchlight Procession and as 1896 Guests of Lord and Lady Egerton at Tatton Park, Cheshire.
So, if you are planning a suitable Occasion we would welcome an Invitation from you!
