Programme for 2008
February 15th Pru Bliss will lecture on Rome prior to the Society trip there later in the month.7.0 for 7.30 at the Shakespeare Centre in Kendal
February 24th to March 2nd :Society trip to Rome. 21 members have booked to join this trip.
March 10th Stephen Hebron from the Wordsworth Trust will lecture on 18th century watercolours. He is the curator of the forthcoming exhibition on this subject at Dove Cottage. 7.0 for 7.30 at the Shakespeare Centre.
April 18th : the AGM of the Society will be followed by Viv Hendra who will lecture on John Opie : the Cornish Wonder. AGM at 6.30 lecture 7.0 for 7.30 at the Shakespeare Centre.
May 16th David Mannings will give the second of his three lectures on Sir Joshua Reynolds. 7.0 for 7.30 at the Shakespeare Centre.
June 28th There will be a Strawberry tea at Isel Hall, Cockermouth by kind permission of our President Miss Mary Burkett. Details will be posted later in the year. |
