The Merit knock-out cups were played at Ambleside Bowling Club:
Division 1:
Semi-finals: Ron Hawksworth (Bowness A) 21, Simon Bray (Langdale) 11;
Norman Sharpe (Burneside A) 21, Jeff Harris (Ambleside C) 11;
Final: Ron Hawksworth 21, Norman Sharpe 20.
Division 2:
Semi-finals: Julie Johnson (Staveley A) 21, Joyce Athersmith (Coniston A) 18;
Derek Bell (Staveley A) 21, Derek Tebay (Ambleside A) 17;
Final: Julie Johnson 21, Derek Bell19.

The team knock-out competitions were also played at Ambleside and the winners were:
Division 1: Bowness A runners-up Windermere A
Division 2: Ambleside B runners-up Staveley B
