Silverdale C.C. ( formed in 1893) currently run 2 Senior sides in the Westmorland Cricket league ( Divisions 1 & 4) and an active junior membership, which has entered a side into the U11 league for the 2004 season.
Having moved to our new ground at Cove Road, Silverdale, in 1995, we have spent the past years turning three fields (rented from the National Trust) into one of the most picturesque grounds in the area. With one of the best wickets in the league, we are able to provide first class cricket facilities to all interested players, and would extend a warm welcome any new players interested in joining the Club.
Players memberships are only £30 per season ( £ 10 for Juniors) and at £4.00 per game, this must be some of the cheapest cricket available anywhere !
Our new pavilion is now finished abd ready for the 2005 season. Any help and sponsorhsip is gratefully received. If you can help, please contact the Secretary, Simon Waterhouse.( 01524 824242)
In 2004, Silverdale 1st X1 narrowly avoided relegation to the second divsion and the 2nds ended up 4th in the 4th Div. Lots of hard work required in the forthcoming season to challenge for the top spots.. !
The Club has a number of active Social members as well as players, and barbecue corner is a favourite place on a hot summer day ! Come along and see what we mean !
Hope to see you soon !
