It all started in the St George's Church Hall on the 6/11/74.It then moved on to hold its meetings in the Town Hall and then to our present venue the Abbott Hall Centre Dowker Lane Kendal. The original officers were as follows:- Chairman Peter Wilson. Secretary Jim Muil. Treasurer John Geary. Meetings The meetings are now held in the Abbot Hall Centre Dowker Lane Kendal on the first Thursday of every month starting at 7.30pm . Subjects vary from talks and slide show's by many fuchsia experts on the growing of this beautiful plant. We also do have talks on other gardening topics and many other interesting subjects.
