General
1. Entry fee of £50 per team to be paid at the A.G.M. (This charge covers league and team knockout.)
2. Matches start at 8pm. If a team is late games can be claimed at 10 minute intervals from 8:10pm. Please be courteous enough to inform your opposition if your team is delayed.
3. Each team must have enough players (four) available to play.
4. Any team cancelling a match without giving reasonable notification (24hrs) will forfeit the match and the opposing team will be awarded the same points as the highest scoring winning team on that night in the same league.
5. Any team cancelling a match must inform the fixtures secretary (David Carter on Blackburn 610384 or 0783 7212398 ) , as well as the opposing team captain.
6. All cancelled games must be played before the end of the season, preferably on a catch-up week. Alternatively they can be played on knockout weeks, if neither team is involved, or midweek.
7. No team may cancel more than 2 matches per season.
8. Official results cards must be used, checked and signed by both team captains. Dominoes cards must be used for the dominoes results, and All 4’s cards must be used for all 4’s, failure to do so will result in both teams forfeiting their points for that match.
9. Winning team is responsible for returning results cards no later than the WEDNESDAY following the match. Results cards go to the GRIFFIN HOTEL, 1 Griffin Street ,Blackburn,or by post to David Carter, 12 Portland Street,Blackburn,BB2 2PQ.
10. In the event of a late card, only the losing team shall be awarded their points. The winning team get none.
11. No player may play for more than one team per season.
12. It is the landlord’s decision whether a player be allowed to play if a player has been barred .
13. If any team has a complaint, it must be sent, in writing, to the fixtures secretary of the league (c/o David Carter, The Griffin Hotel or 12 Portland Street), to be discussed at the next committee meeting.
14. All fixtures must be played. Any team failing to fulfil a fixture the team will forfeit their corresponding home fixture next season.
15. If a team withdraws for any reason, allgames the team have played, no matter what results-all results will be concidered void.

Knockout competitions
1. In the first round of the pairs knockout, if a player is unavailable, their partner may play with a substitute, providing that they then play any further games with the same player, and inform the chairman of the league.
2. After the 1st round of the pairs KO no substitutions are allowed, you must play with the same partner for the remainder of your games.
3. In both the team and pairs knockout; the captain of the winning team must ‘phone 01254 - 610384 immediately after the match with the result.
4. All fours pairs knockout play first to 11 points best of 3.
5. Dominoes pairs knockout play best of 5.
6. All fours knockout; captains must cut (red or black) for the first pitch, then alternate to finish.
7. Dominoes knockout; captains pick out (odd or even) for the first drop, then alternate to finish.

All Fours

1. Home team to pitch first, then alternate to finish.
2. Nine games of eleven points up to be played.
3. A minimum of four players per team.
4. No player to play more than four games, and only two with the same partner until game nine.
5. In the ninth game captains may field any of their players, regardless of how many games they have already played and with partners who may have played twice together already.


5a. If a team as been found braking rules 4 and 5 , that team involved will be deducted 5 points no matter, of the result from both All Fours and Dominoes.
6. All points to be claimed in order; high, low, jack, game.
7. One match point is awarded for each win, and a bonus point for winning the match.
8. Home team must provide a suitable deck of playing cards, if a team feels that the cards are unfit to play with, the home team must change the deck.
9. In the event of a miss-deal, cards to be re-dealt; no forfeit being incurred.
10. If a player ‘reneges’ on a suit, or plays out of turn they forfeit 4 points.
11. To avoid forfeiting unnecessarily all cards should be played out, unless the hand is conceded.

Dominoes
1. Home team to drop first, then alternate to finish.
2. Nine games of doubles, best of three to be played.
3. A minimum of four players per team.
4. No player to play more than four games, and only two with the same partner until game nine.
5. In the ninth game captains may field any of their players, regardless of how many games they have already played and with partners who may have played twice together already.
6. One match point is awarded for each win, and a bonus point for winning the match.
7. In the event of a ‘count up’ more than five dominoes must have been played, otherwise replay the game.
8. If a player plays a wrong domino, they forfeit the game, (the domino must have been played, and unable to go on either end)
9. If a player knocks and can go, they forfeit the game. (Knocking must be a distinct knock or call)
