Week Three: Printers Rolled Over!

After a super 7-2 victory against te Old Toll Bar B last week, the aqueduct went one better with a stunning victory over their Brownhill counterparts.

In a week which saw 'Nasty' Nigel Whalley return from holiday the Aqueduct again showed their potential as true league title contenders, even at this early satge of the season!

First up this week was 'Woggle Eye' Chris Heyes who powered his way to a quick finish to give to the home team an early advantage. As with 'Tin Tins' game last week 'Woggle' almost cleared up from the break but ballsed it up by snookering himself on the black. two more visits and the game was over! 'Tin Tin' was next on and cruised to victory with a comfortable display putting the Aqueduct two up. The first doubles of the night was untried parnership of John Young and Nasty Nigel, it worked with a couple of nervy shots, but 3-0 up and on our way to victory.

Next up was 'big' Dean who again won convincingly (suffering from a cold) stretching the lead to 4-0. Dean then retired to his bed (injured & feeling sorry for himself.haha...sorry mate). So at 4-0 Pimmy was left to earn the victory, and as he did the other week he safely secured the points and the win, taking the score to 5-0. Was a whitewash on the cards? Second doubles match so yet another unried partnership, this time 'Gobby' and 'Cool Hand' who unfortunately where this weeks 'Tonies'. The score now at 5-1

'Nast' was next on fresh from his sunshine break with the missus. He was always in control and ran out a deserved winner to increase the score to 6-1. Mr Caddons next, aiming to erase the earleier doubles defeat he had suffered alongside 'Gobby'.It became obvious why he's nicknamed 'Cool Hand' as his performance showed his steadiness on the blue baize furthering the points tally (7-1). The final doubles match was just as important as any other with another valuable point at stake! 'Pimmy' and were solid and never gave the opposition a chance to give the home team a conviincing victory of 8-1, giving the Aqueduct nine valuable points.

Again jokes were hard to come this week, and Pimmy let us down again. Its not too bad when you've got 'Gobby' Walton in the team, he's always making people laugh, just look at him1 (ooops a bit cheeky there).

Anyway, until next time ciao and in the words of the great Jerry Springer "Take care of yourselves, and each other".
