'THE AMERICAN ADVENTURE' (1991 - 1997)

(Please allow time for photo's to load]

The mock town of 'Silver City', was where 'Johhny Ringo and his Hole in the Head Gang', came to rob the bank at least three times a day

The fastest gun in town.....

This was Sheriff Rex Roper, who kept the peace in 'Silver City'. Why he rounded up that gang, and put it's leader in his jail. They just wouldn't listen to reason, that good always wins over bad, and his shoot - outs were the highlight of their visit.

In the Saloon, there was 'Lil'...

The heart of 'Silver City' was 'Lazy Lil's Saloon'. Here's the beautiful 'Diamond Lil', she was such a darn lovely filly, that all the cowboys stayed in there all day, watching here sing while the girls danced.
'Diamond Lil' as portrayed by Janis Harlow.

Watching from above.....

Then there was this fella that kept in the shadows; we thought he fancied Lil, because when she was on stage, well he never stopped talking about her! He kept on telling everybody what she was going to sing next. He was with the band that played behind the curtain, but sometimes he sang as well. They called him Chris Andrews.

Good and Bad.....

This is Miss Shelley, well you can see how she treats the kids; I wondered if she treated her men like that too!

She was a great horse rider, and on occasions she drove the stagecoach.

Miss Shelley as portrayed by Shelley Benison, Stunt Woman.

Who's the Dippy?

Shucks folks, this is 'Dippy', this senseless half-wit kept on getting himself blown up,whenever they robbed the Bank!

Anyhow, he sure attracted the gals at 'Lazy Lil's' Saloon; like bee's round a jam - pot.

'Dippy', as portrayed by John Jacques aka

(John B. Tannen - Stuntman)

John recently signed our Guest Book with information on his recent activities:

Dancing Feet:

These two fella's were part of the saloon show, ya got Dean on the left, and Danny on the right. They really enjoyed dancing at Lil's.

Dean the dancer, as portrayed by Dean Brailsford

The Star....

Hey you guy's, here's the Star of the show, and would you beleive it, she's 'Diamond Lil's' daughter, and her names Mel. This gal once held up the stage coach for then minutes while she fixed her hair!

Mel - Daughter of 'Diamond Lil', as portrayed by Mellisa Morallis - Robinson.

Mellisa was really the star of the saloon shows. She was a heat winner in Bob Monkhouse's 'Oppertunity Knocks'

The Man Behind it All:

Behind every good troupe there's always someone special at the head, and 'Silver City' never had a finer guy than Marshall Bill Thompson.

'Marshall Bill Thompson' was portrayed by ex - circus clown Bill Thompson, Entertainments Manager for the 'American Adventure' under Granada

The 'Pick 'n' Mix ' Duo:

Here's a peaceful time in 'Silver City', when 'Blue' and Sheriff Rex Roper, had cleaned up all the baddies. Together they decide just who's going to pay for the 'Pick 'n' Mix' sweets.

'Blue' as portrayed by Roger Moore.

Sheriff Rex Roper was Three times 'Trick Rope Champion', in Alberta, Canada.

Sweeties:

Dancing gals Miss Beverley (left), and Miss Lorraine from the Saloon Shows.

'Miss Lorraine' portrayed by Lorraine Houghton - Head Dance Instructor at the'AA'

Down from the Hills:

Here's a rare shot of 'Mountain Man Jim' better known as Isiah - because one 'eye's higher' than the other!

He was a friend of Johhny Ringo, and would sneak into town then report back to the gang.

'Mountain Man Jim' was portrayed by Jim Rice.

New Kid in Town:

On special days 'The Cactus Kid' would visit town, and here he is with his pet chimp 'CoCo'.

'The Cactus Kid' was portrayed by TonyArmitage, Magician and Entertainer.

Red White and Blue!

This is 'Blue' again depicting the 'Spirit of America' - 'Uncle Sam'

'Uncle Sam' is portrayed by Roger Moore, Stuntman.

'El Gringo':

Ok you guys, just hold everything there while we move to another page in our scrapbook!

'El Gringo' is portrayed by Samuel Magdeleno, a real life Mexican, who was in charge of horses, and stables at the park.

Don't you move an inch.............
