The purpose of our Club
Blackburn & District Probus Club is based in Blackburn, Lancashire, and was formed in 1971. We cover the communities of Blackburn, Mellor, Feniscowles, Pleasington & surrounding districts.
The Club's purpose is to provide a regular meeting place for retired gentlemen, who appreciate good fellowship. Membership is open to retired or semi-retired men.
Meetings take place fortnightly on Wednesday mornings between 10.00am & midday. Coffee & biscuits are served at 10.00am followed by a guest speaker and usually a hearty question time. Venue is St. Silas Parish Rooms, Preston New Road.
Special events are organised throughout the year at which our good ladies are more than welcome, as well as friends of members.
We welcome NEW members, so if you wish to make new friends in a very friendly atmosphere, please call any member of our committee. (See listed numbers) |
