Bolton Spiritualist Church has twinned with East Hamilton Spiritualist church in Canada.
Mr Henry Thomas Batten; who had been a president of Bolton Church in the past and the first president of the Lyceum in Bolton, emigrated to Canada in 1925, where he later became the president of East Hamilton Spiritualist Church.
His grandson Albert Batten attended the Centennary Celebrations of the church in 2004 and the idea to twin slowly took shape over several emails to and from the President Barbara Harrison.
The Church is sending a couple of mediums to Canada some time this year and East Hamilton will send a couple of their mediums over to visit us. |
