Norfolk comes to Lancashire!
For their next production in November, Cabus Players have chosen a play by the playwright, William Norfolk. Based on the infamous courtcase in which Lizzie Borden was found not guilty of murdering her father and stepmother with an axe, this drama re-examines the evidence. After trying to live a life away from the limelight for many years, Lizzie and her sister are visited by a group of touring players. When the conversation - inevitably! - turns to the horrific murder, the actors re-enact scenes from the trial, in order to get at the truth. These scenes, together with a surprise visit by a face from their past, shed new light on one of the most talked-about trials of the early 20th century. The play will be performed at Cabus Village Hall (just North of Garstang on the A6)on the nights of November 15 - 17th at 7.30. Free parking in the Village Hall car park, ticket price of £3 to include refreshments available on door
